Saraki Reshuffles Committees, gives Senator Marafa who took him to court “Juicy” office

Senate president Bukola Saraki has reshuffled the leaderships of some Senate committees. His most outspoken critic, Kabiru Marafa, was appointed chairman of the Petroleum (downstream) Committee. He was formally pushed to the Committee on National Population.

Saraki made the announcement today shortly before the senate adjourned.

Suleiman Hukunyi, another Saraki critic, is now in charge of the Committee on National Identity.

Senator Hope Uzodinma now Chairman, Committee on Customs.

Senator Jibrin Barau now Chairman, Committee on Tertiary Institutions and TETFund.
Senator Garba Binta Masi now Chairman, Committee on Women Affairs.
Senator Joshua Dariye now Chairman, Committee on Public Procurement.
Senator James Manager now Chairman, Committee on Solid Minerals.
Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe now Chairman, Committee on Power.
Senator Suleiman Adokwe now Chairman, Committee on National Orientation and Information.
Senator BabajideOmoworare now Chairman, Committee on Legislative Compliance.
Senator Baba Kaka Garbai now Chairman, Committee on Rules and Business.
Senator Kaura Tijjani now Chairman, Committee on Federal Character.

Saraki and his men are hoping that these new positions will make some of the senators forgive him.
