President Buhari Not Involved In The Dog Naming Case

The Presidency through the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, has addressed the issue of man who named dog "Buhari". Actually, this case has nothing to do with President Buhari as the man who reported the incident to the police said his own father's name is Buhari and that the trader named his dog "Buhari" to mock him.

Below is Garba Shehu's statement on the saga:
I am thinking of saying, using my own handle that people linking the President to this dog incident are just displaying their ignorance of the type of person he is.
He enjoys cartoons and likes sharing them. The ones he enjoys the most are those that caricature him. It is cheap and sensational to say he can order a police action against a caricature. When he picks a paper, the first page he reaches for is the cartoon page. He laughs and laughs.
The President must be having a good laugh over this whole thing. People should listen to the real story behind this dog incident and to not waste precious time seeking the hand of the President in a laughable incident!

Everything politics & propaganda in Naija, the complainant claimed to have reported the suspect that, he name his dog after his father, hung it on the dog to parade around the whole community, whereas the complainant is not son or anywhere related to PMB, it's baseless to ascribed or link the suspect trial to PMB

Hard sell. How come this matter attracted the attention of Nigerian police to the extent that Joe was not only remanded in police cell in the first instance, but also made to taste prison life for what Garba described with a wave of hand.

It is all Politricks. The majority of Nigerians are not fools. Read my lips.
