Boko Haram Ambush Convoy Again... this time the terrorists were killed

Troops of 121 Task Force Battalion in Pulka, Borno State, yesterday killed 30 suspected insurgents as they attempted to ambush a convoy of Gwoza Local Government officials.

The insurgents detonated an Improvised Explosive Device and began shooting, but were repelled by troops escorting the officials.

The Caretaker Committee Chairman of Gwoza, Saeed Salisu Sambo, who was in the convoy, praised the troops for their gallantry show of fire power.

He said no life was lost. “I praise the gallantry of the troops, led by Patrol Commanders of the 121BN, Captain S. Suleiman and Lt. N. Ayuba.”

Few soldiers were injured in the battle and are receiving treatment at Maimalari Barracks Hospital.
