Igbo Want Presidency Not Biafra, says Iwuanyanwu

Politician and businessman, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to stop treating the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kalu, as a hero.

Iwuanyanwu advised President Buhari not to treat the IPOB leader as an important personality by keeping him in detention for months but to quickly try him in court and trash the case.

Iwuanyanwu, who spoke on Friday at an NUJ meeting in Owerri, Imo state capital, said Igbo desired to produce the president of Nigeria and not to separate from it.

He said, “Igbo people are majority tribe in Nigeria. We are everywhere and doing greatly.”

He reiterated his call to President Buhari to quickly summon a meeting of elders in the country in order to find a permanent solution to the Niger Delta problems and insurgency.

  1. Kanu was never a hero, he will never be one.

  2. Olu, are you there?
    Joseph the dreamer. Keep dreaming.

  3. Issorite but the man is BIG sha.

  4. I think its about time we all sit down together and decide collectively what we want as a people in our own best interests. Majority of the Igbo population are really not in support of Biafra but rather wants to experience a real sense of belonging as enjoyed by other major tribes in the Country.

And one way to achieve that is by giving them a chance to also produce a president from that region. And in my own opinion I think that can only be fair.

  5. Issorite, let Igbo speak with one voice & present a consensus candidate for President.

  6. That is a lie oh, igbos are not the majority tribe in nigeria oh. But they are spread everywhere in nigeria. The presidents needs to be fair to them.

  7. Operating the radio Biafra does not make Nnamdi Kanu a Hero. Many Igbos have lost their lives in the IPOB.I only pray that God will perfect this issue naturally. But the Igbos should come up together and believe in one thing and stop fighting Buhari administration.
