He narrowly evaded the cold hands of death after his vehicle was attacked by unknown assailants. An SUV conveying him from Lokoja, Kogi State, to Abuja, was shot at by the unidentified gunmen.
The visibly shaken Faleke disclosed this himself in a report he lodged at Gwagwalada police division in Abuja. The lawmaker was attacked between 7pm and 7.30pm on Sunday November 6.
The bullets hit the front windshield of his bullet-proof vehicle thrice before the Gwagwalada bridge.
Faleke was the running mate to the Kogi state All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in the November 21, 2015 election, the late Prince Abubakar Audu. He was set to become deputy governor of Kogi before Audu's unfortunate death.
