Senate approves Buhari’s request to amend 2016 budget

The Senate has approved President Muhammadu Buhari’s request to amend the 2016 budget by re-assigning N180.8 billion to critical recurrent and capital items.

The Senate’s approval followed the presentation of the report of the Committee on Appropriations led by Danjuma Goje on Tuesday.

The year is coming to an end in a few weeks, I guess we should be talking of 2017 budget.

1. WE DON'T WANT FREE HANDOUTS.
2. WE DON'T WANT TO LOOT THE TREASURY OR COMIT ANY OTHER CRIME.
3. WE JUST WANT YOU TO FIX THE ELECTRIC POWER SITUATION SO THAT WE CAN HELP OURSELVES.
5. IS THAT TOO MUCH TO REQUEST FROM THE GOVERNMENT OF A NATION THAT CONSTANTLY RAKES IN BILLIONS OF DOLLARS?
6. LET US HELP OURSELVES TO SURVIVE, DO YOUR GOVERNMENT PART, FIX THE ELECTRIC POWER SITUATION.
