UNIIBADAN Student Expelled For Insulting VC

A 200 Level student of the University of Ibadan identified as Anyanwu Kingsley has been expelled from the institution.

Anyanwu, it was said, insulted not only the vice chancellor of the institution but also other principal officers and high ranking personalities.

It was reported that Anyanwu made some comments on the Student Union page during a protest tagged #freemote. The comments were considered as abusive as it was directed against the VC.

According to various reports, UI is the 2nd school Anyanwu has been rusticated from, though it has been denied by the student in question.

One of his close friends who pleaded anonymity said Anyanwu is planning to challenge the decision made by the management of the University by appealing at the court of law in the next 14 days.

  13. It is excruciating to see people in support of injustice. I believe no document can be heightened over the 1999 constitution. Ipso facto and ipso jure, section 38(1) of the 1999 constitution says "every person shall be entitled to freedom of expression, including freedom to hold opinions. Section 1 proclaims the supremacy of 1999 constitution over any written document nor code of conduct. Any document that is not in line with section 38(1) of the 1999 constitution is inconsistent, and it is to that inconsistency null and void.
