Former EFCC Boss, Farida Waziri, Loses Husband

Senator Ajuji Waziri, the husband of ex-Chairman of the EFCC, Farida Waziri, is dead. He was a former Nigerian ambassador to Turkey.

Senator Waziri was said to have died on Easter Monday after a brief illness.

Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with his family and friends.

The President’s condolence message was issued yesterday by Mr Femi Adesina, his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity.

Joining the diplomatic corps and the National Assembly in mourning the demise of the former diplomat and lawmaker, President Buhari noted that Waziri worked hard to improve the conditions of his community and the country, as a public servant, who served in many capacities.

The President extolled the humanity, integrity and purposefulness that Waziri brought into all his responsibilities.

Buhari sympathised with his wife, Farida Waziri, the children, and the government and people of Gombe State.

He prayed God to receive his soul and grant his loved ones the fortitude to bear the loss.
