Osinbajo Will Sign 2017 Budget As Soon As He’s Satisfied With The Details

Those thinking acting President Yemi Osinbajo can't sign budget should have a rethink. He'll sign the 2017 budget into law once satisfied with it, Laolu Akande, his spokesperson, has said.

The N7.441 trillion budget was passed by the national assembly one week ago, on May 11. But it's yet to be transmitted to the presidency, according to minister of information, Lai Mohammed.

The minister had said that a decision is yet to be taken – between President Buhari who’s away on medical vacation and acting President Osinbajo – on who will assent to the budget.

But reacting on Wednesday, Akande said Osinbajo will assent it “when everything is set”.
