Senior Female Police Officer Kidnapped In Broad Daylight?

The Delta State Police Command has launched a manhunt for the kidnappers of an unnamed female Superintendent of Police officer in state.

The senior officer was reportedly kidnapped along the
Ogwash-Uku/Asaba Road on her way to work on Monday.

Another senior officer in the command disclosed that “A manhunt has been launched for her abductors since the incident on Monday, but till this moment, she had not been seen.

“The police officer is still with the kidnappers; nobody knows for now where they took her to.

“The Commissioner of Police has given directive that everywhere should be combed for the abducted police officer and the kidnappers.

“Nobody is at rest now because the CP says he wants her out of whereever she was taken to.”

But when contacted on phone, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Andrew Aniamaka, told The Punch that “It is not true; there is nothing like that. No female officer was abducted.

“If there is (anything like that), I am not aware and yet to receive such report.”

He described the story as baseless and unfounded, calling on residents to discard the rumour.
